Changes to your rent from April 2025

In the coming weeks, you’ll receive a letter detailing your rent for the financial year. Changes to your rent will take effect from 1 April 2025.

We understand that the ongoing cost-of-living challenges may make this a concern for some customers. Please know that we are here to support you and provide guidance where possible. The rent you pay allows us to continue providing safe, secure homes and essential services, from maintenance and repairs to investment in building new affordable housing for communities in need.

Investing in your homes and communities

Last year, we invested over £120 million in maintaining and repairing our homes, and we remain committed to ensuring they are comfortable and safe. In addition, we’re continuing to plan and carry out improvements based on data from our stock condition surveys to better meet your needs.

Service charges

If you pay a service charge, this covers services such as ground maintenance or lighting in communal areas. These charges are reviewed annually and adjusted based on the actual costs of providing these services. If applicable, the details of your service charge will be included in the letter informing you of your new rent.

Supporting you financially

We are here to help if you’re concerned about paying your rent or service charges. Last year, we helped families access over £659,000 in benefits and supported 2,500 people with financial advice. Our Financial Wellbeing Team is available to assist with budgeting, setting up repayment plans, and connecting you with community support.
