£3,500 donation to foodbanks

For the second year running our Housing Team has made a £3,500 donation to seven foodbanks across the south and southwest of England, to support the crucial work they do in the community.

Foodbanks continue to play a vital role in the lives of people struggling with their finances, with the pandemic driving demand even further. To show our appreciation for the work foodbanks do, particularly at a time when the cost of living is rising, energy prices are at record highs as well as changes to Universal Credit payments, we have donated again this year to help towards operational costs.

Darren Brazil, regional director, said: “Now more than ever these foodbanks play a crucial role in supporting people in our community. We know first-hand how important the work of these foodbanks is and we’re proud to continue to support the important work they do.”

• Ringwood Foodbank
• Devizes Foodbank
• Glastonbury Foodbank
• Fair Frome Foodbank
• Romsey Foodbank
