This Saturday, saw the popular London Home Show take place at the QEII in Westminster, London. The show saw more than 3000 people attend who were looking at options to get on the property ladder in and around the Capital. It was the first time we have exhibited, marking our entry into this new operating region with the new developments coming onboard from Central and Cecil Housing (C&C).

The event was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect and discuss our homes available with people who visited our stand and register with us for more details about our shared ownership homes both in and out of London. Whilst the show focussed on homes available in London we also received significant interest from potential customers in London who are exploring options outside the city.

Our stand at the show received a lot of attention and compliments, thanks in part to the incredible urban display created by Mr Murals.

One of the highlights of the day was our interactive sticker wall, where attendees shared what London means to them. The responses highlighted why London is such a vibrant and exciting place to live and buy a home. From its rich cultural tapestry to its dynamic urban life, the sticker wall was a testament to the city’s unique appeal. In addition to this, Amy Nettleton was a guest speaker in one of the event sessions. Amy discussed the benefits of shared ownership versus private renting and answered many questions from those new to understanding how shared ownership works.

Launch of The Silverton in Silvertown

We are also excited to announce that in the run up to the London Home Show we launched our shared ownership homes for sale at The Silverton in Silvertown. This new development in London’s dynamic East End offers a range of one, two, and three-bedroom luxury duplexes and apartments. These homes will be available towards throughout 2025, providing an excellent opportunity for those looking to step onto the property ladder in this vibrant locality. 2024 and beyond is set to be an exciting time for Aster Group and marks our expansion into the capital with our shared ownership homes coming to The Silverton in Silvertown, Southall Grove in Southall, and our new site in Earlsfield.

The benefits of shared ownership; a recap.

Shared ownership not only makes home buying more accessible and provides the freedom and control it gives you over private renting, but also offers several advantages. With shared ownership, you can:

  • Invest in your future: Building equity in a property can provide long-term financial security.
  • Flexibility: Purchase additional shares of your home over time, potentially leading to full ownership.
  • Lower monthly costs: The combined cost of your mortgage and rent is often less than renting a similar property privately.
