Coronation celebrations
Aster Foundation were able to work with Aster Group Independent Living Schemes to provide funding and support for Kings Coronation celebration events. This is a part of the shared objective to improve lives by reducing the impacts of poverty and social isolation. The Aster Foundation were able to access generous support from corporate supporters Novus, Axis Elevators and Orestone Controls Limited.
Maria Gibbs, Independent Living Team Leader and the teams were pleased to be able to help our customers mark the occasion with a special spread of sandwiches and cakes.
“My team have asked me to pass on their thanks to you and the companies that so generously gave donations towards our customers' Coronation celebrations. It was heart-warming to see everyone together enjoying each other’s company we had music, dancing, some piano playing and an amazing amount of food. I have to admit to eating far too many cakes!!!"
The events were part of the Foundation's work to improve the mental wellness and social connectivity of 400,000 people by 2030.
