bMoneywize – bringing money know how to a generation

Dr Arinola Araba was inspired to set up her social business, bMoneywize when she saw how her children and their friends were around money. She soon realised there was an opportunity to educate and provide young people with the essential life skills that many of them were missing. Now she’s one of our amazing inc. entrepreneurs and hoping to inspire a generation of young people, including those across our communities and their parents.

Arinola developed a board game to equip children and their parents with the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to handle and understand money.  A digital version of the game is in development and Arinola recently participated in The Times/Sunday Times Yes Business Can event with Body Coach, Joe Wicks MBE to talk about tech adoption and how she’s adapting to the current climate.

Since setting up her business, Arinola has been busy spreading the bMoneywize word, running interactive workshops with children using her board game to prompt discussions and being featured on ITV News, the BBC and in The Times.

“I see bMoneywize as an opportunity to present complex money concepts and normalise money discussions in a fun way! Our aim is to make managing money, ‘child's play’. We’re also hoping to create job opportunities for young people which is something I’m really excited about.”

Arinola is already enjoying the inc. experience and is using the expertise and insight from our subject matter expert colleagues and other successful entrepreneurs to help develop her business.

“Inc has the creativity factor. I genuinely feel supported,” she said.
